Former President Donald Trump has reportedly sued the US government over the raid at his Mar-a-Lago home by the FBI. British newspaper The Guardian reported that Trump filed a lawsuit against the government to prevent the federal agency from reading the materials seized during the search.
The report claimed that Trump is seeking a special master, generally, a retired judge or lawyer, to investigate the matter as the FBI allegedly may have seized privileged materials in its raid. In the suit, he reportedly argued that the Department of Justice should not "itself decide what it can use in its investigation".

Trump also has sought a more detailed receipt report for property from the government and sought the return of any "item seized that was not within the scope of the search warrant”, the report quoted.
