In his first public reaction after being confirmed as America's next ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti said that he was "thrilled" with the US Senate's "decisive and bipartisan decision to fill a critical post that has been vacant for long".
Garcetti added that he was "ready & eager" to begin his service representing USA's "critical interests in India".
Garcetti's nominated as the US envoy to India was confirmed by the Senate on 15 March 2023.
