Ukraine will lose more territory if its counteroffensive fails, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted on July 10. "Should a Ukrainian offensive fail with heavy casualties, a Russian counterattack would capture a lot more territory. This is why there has been no major offensive," the tweet reads.
According to Musk Russia “would win a war of attrition” as its troops heavily outnumber Ukrainians. He also tried to highlight the futility of war by writing, “The flower of Ukrainian & Russian youth are dying in trenches, with no meaningful change in territory.”
In October 2022, Musk had outlined a peace plan which was criticised by the Ukrainian authorities who accused him of echoing Russian demands.
