Drone hits from Lebanon, Yemen & Iraq exposed Israel’s defence weakness. Amid a surge in drone hits, Israel is looking for new ways to thwart drone attacks. Israel's Defense Ministry has sought help from a private security firm.  New air defence for drones prioritised after the attack on the Golani base, Netanyahu's home.  Hezbollah kamikaze drone attack killed 4 IDF soldiers and wounded dozens.

Israel is struggling to intercept Hezbollah's drones which are difficult to track on radar.  IDF currently uses costly Iron Dome, fighter jets, and helicopters to intercept drones. Detecting drones that fly at low altitudes, and slow speed still a challenge: IDF.

IDF promoted companies specializing in military drones to develop solutions. Many interception drones have been presented by various companies.  Interception drones to stop enemy attacks directly or deploy nets.  Spear UAV unveiled mobile capsule Viper 1, loitering interceptor.  Xtend drone company has developed suicide Scorpio-1000 drone.  Scorpio-100 capable identifying hostile drone & collide to kill it. Report: Scorpio-1000 can fly in an area with GPS disruptions & interfaces.

Israeli company Airobotics drone can intercept hostile UAVs by deploying a hard net. A trial run of interception UAVs of 8 companies have already been conducted. IDF hopes these UAVs will improve interception percentage in the near future. But, the effectiveness of these interception drones against Hezbollah and Iran UAVs is uncertain.
