COVID-19 has a new variant: All you need to know about BF.7

The COVID-19 virus evolution continues with now a new variant making headlines. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported a new coronavirus sub variant BF.7, also known as Omicron offspring.

Study suggests that this latest sub-variant can escape antibodies, vaccinations better than many other omicron sub-variants.

As far as its symptoms are concerned, they are similar to any viral infection including sore throat congestion, fatigue, cough and runny nose.

Countries like United States, UK, Australia and Belgium have already reported cases of this new variant. America has reported at least 1.7% cases of the new Omicron variant, while Germany and France have recorded 10% cases each.  

BF.7 was first discovered in Northwest China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with the new variant now spreading to more provinces in Beijing. Shenzhen is the latest region to have reported cases of Omicron Spawn.
