Battling alcohol addiction, a 36-year-old man in China opted for a 5-minute surgical procedure to help him stay away from the tipple.

South China Morning Post reported that Liu had a chip implanted in his body as part of a clinical trial on April 12 to overcome his alcohol addiction. He is reportedly the first person in the country to receive such a treatment.
