A major pile-up, involving around 200 cars, occurred in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou on 28 December 2022.
Reports said that the mass accident occurred on a bridge due to heavy fog. Many people were trapped in their vehicles, and at least one death was confirmed.
11 fire trucks were deployed to the Zhengxin bridge for rescue operations.
Visibility in many areas was between 200 and 500 m on 28 December, according to the meteorological service.
