World-class airport-like stations to be a reality in 2019

Come 2019 and Indian Railways will get its first world-class airport-like stations. The Habibganj station in Madhya Pradesh and Gandhinagar station in Gujarat will have state-of-the-art amenities. The construction work is under way. The Habibganj station is being modelled on Germany’s Heidelberg railway station and will have retail areas, gaming and museum zones, and will be a green station. The Gandhinagar station will have a 5-star hotel with 300 rooms, along with retail kiosks, book stalls and food outlets.
