Windows 11 release date: Microsoft has announced that Windows 11 will officially launch on October 5.
A free upgrade to Windows 11 will be rolled out to all eligible PCs, and new laptops and desktop computers with pre-loaded Windows 11 will also be available from that date.
The update rollout for Windows 11 will be done in phases, and Microsoft has said that it expects all eligible PCs to be upgraded by mid-2022.

Windows 11 brings a design refresh with a centered start menu, but the highly anticipated support for Android apps will not be available at launch, but will be rolled out at a later date.
However, users of computers not eligible for a Windows 11 upgrade should not fret, as Microsoft has committed to support Windows 10 till at least 2025.
