Aug 30, 2021 11:02 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Since Microsoft announced Windows 11, the next version of their operating system, some users have been up in arms about the high system requirements.

Upgrading to Windows 11 will require an advanced TPM 2.0 security chip, which is commonplace in most PCs and laptops sold after 2017, but leaves out older hardware, even if it is still quite powerful.

Now, Microsoft has said that older, unsupported PCs may still be allowed to install Windows 11 if done so manually.

However, unsupported PCs will still not receive OS updates via Windows Update, leaving them vulnerable to cyber attacks.

Microsoft has released a tool through which users can tell if their PC supports Windows 11.
