Why does Telangana CM want to buy 125 kgs of pure gold from RBI

The K Chandrasekhar Rao govt in Telangana has decided to buy 125 kg pure gold from RBI to decorate a temple tower in Yadadri.

Speaking to the reports, the chief minister said that the state govt will need ₹60 to ₹65 crore to buy the gold from RBI. His family has decided to donate 1.16kg of gold to the hill shrine in Yadadri which is 70 kms away from Hyderabad. 

Yadari ispart of KC Rao's dream project to make a temple as grand as the Tirupati temple. He wants to transform the region into a religious tourism hub.
