Twitter has appointed its Chief Technology Officer Parag Agrawal as it's new Chief Executive Officer after Jack Dorsey stepped out.
Agrawal was born in India and is an alumnus of IIT-Bombay and has a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University.
He joined Twitter in 2011 as an Ads Engineer and since then has risen to be Twitter's first Distinguished Engineer due to his work across revenue and consumer engineering, including his impact on the re-acceleration of audience growth in 2016 and 2017.
He took over as the CTO in 2017.
Before Twitter, Parag Agrawal worked with Microsoft, Yahoo and AT&T Labs.
