WhatsApp has been testing a multi-device beta for a while, which lets customers use the desktop app or web app without connecting to a smartphone. Now, the service may also extend to the iPad.
According to WABetaInfo, an official native iPad app for WhatsApp is in the works. The app will not require the user to have a connected smartphone online in order to use their account and access their chats.
