Mizoram’s Assembly elections on Nov. 7 will mainly be fought between four parties - Mizo National Front, Zoram People’s Movement, Congress and BJP.
The elections put all 40 seats of Mizoram up for grabs. Congress will look to re-establish its presence in the northeastern state.
CM Zoramthanga will contest the polls from Aizawl East-I, pitting himself against Zoram People's Movement vice-president Lalthansanga.
ZPM’s incumbent candidate Lalduhoma will contest from the Serrchip seat. He dethroned five-time chief minister Lal Thanhawla in 2018.
Robert Romawia Royte will go up from Aizwal East-II. The Sports Minister will take on Congress’ Lalrindika Ralte Hachhek constituency.
Mizoram Congress chief Lalsawta may be in a close three-way battle with ZPM and MNF.
