Defending its decision to refuse to allow Munich's Allianz Arena to be illuminated in rainbow colours in protest at anti-LGBTQ laws passed in Hungary, UEFA added the same colours to its logo.
In a statement, European football's governing body said that it is proud to wear the colours of the rainbow, which is a symbol of the LGBTQ community. It also defended it's decision, saying that the Munich's request to illuminate the stadium was 'Political' but for them, the rainbow symbol is a sign of our firm commitment to a more diverse and inclusive society.
