Angry sloganeering and dharnas are what comes to our heads when we think about protests. But this one is different. The people of Bhopal gave a comical twist to their protest demonstration on Sunday.

Residents of Arvind Vihar Colony in Bhopal staged a 'laughter protest' on a 200 m long dilapidated road to draw the attention of the administration towards the broken road.

Children to women to elderly, all took part in the 'laughter protest' where they were seen holding placards in their hands and laughing their hearts out demanding the authorities to build the road.

"Road hasn't been constructed in last 2 yrs though Rs 3 cr sanctioned. Some work was done when we protested but it was stopped later," a local said.
