Kidambi Srikanth scripts history by becoming the first-ever Indian men's singles player to enter the Badminton World Championship final after pipping his junior Lakshya Sen's dream in a neck-to-neck fight on Saturday in Spain.

It was a thrilling all-India men's semis where the former World No.1's experience helped him beat the overpowering Sen by 17-21, 21-14, 21- 17 in a sensational contest. Both Indians are assured of a medal. While the 20-year-old Sen will take home the maiden bronze, Srikanth will at least bag the silver. If the former would have won the match, he would have become the youngest ever to achieve the feat.
