Gushing water swept away a bridge over a river in Madhya Pradesh's Datia district after water was released from an overflowing Manikheda dam on Tuesday.
A video shared by NDTV's Anurag Dwary showed the bridge connecting Datia to Ratangarh temple getting washed away in moments.

10 gates of Manikheda Dam were opened earlier in the day as the water level rose due to heavy and continuous rain in the state, government had said.
The Gwalior-Chambal region has been the worst-hit in the torrential rain pounding the state. Several teams of Air Force have been carrying out rescue operations in the flood-hit districts of the region. The weather department has sounded a red alert for Shivpuri, Sheopur, Guna and two other districts.
