KKR's Venkatesh Iyer, who rose to fame after the 2nd leg of IPL 2021, is inspired by Ben Stokes.

In an interview to Sports Yaari, Iyer said "Stokes is a match-winner in every format and contributes in all 3 departments equally. He's such a big asset for the team. I want to become like Stokes and contribute in every format and in every position"

The 26-year-old opening batter scored 370 runs from 10 matches with 4 half-centuries and also picked up 3 wickets in his debut IPL season. Iyer's impressive run earned him his maiden India call-up for the 3-match T20 series vs New Zealand starting November 17.
