Vivo has committed to supporting its flagship X series phones for a minimum of 3 years, with major Android OS updates and security patches.

In a statement, Vivo said that the X series flagship phones are ‘built to last’, and that they want to make sure that customers get software support that lives up to their expectations.

The 3-year update policy applies to upcoming models that will be launched after July 2021. However, Vivo says that older X series models will continue to receive regular Android security updates.
