'Very sorry for my mistake': 'Fast & Furious 9' star John Cena apologises for calling Taiwan a 'country'

Actor-WWE star John Cena has apologised to  China for addressing Taiwan as a 'country' while promoting his latest action film ‘Fast and Furious 9’. 

The interview prompted a backlash in China, which considers self-ruling Taiwan to be part of its territory. 

Cena has now posted a video message on social media in which he speaks in Chinese and apologised for his ‘mistake’.

Asking for forgiveness from the Chinese people, Cena said he loves China.
