Mercedes' official complaints against Red Bull and Max Verstappen after the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have been rejected by the Governing body of Formula 1. The two complaints which were first rejected by the race stewards in Abu Dhabi were also dismissed by the FIA.

This officially means that Max Verstappen remains the Formula 1 World Champion after a controversial end to the season in which the Red Bull driver finished on top ahead of Mercedes' 7-time F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen overtook Hamilton in the final lap after a late safety car and Mercedes argued that the race director did not apply the rules correctly. The team lodged an official appeal against the decision relating to restarting the race for the final lap.
