An employee of a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad died a day after receiving the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. While 46-year-old Mahipal Singh’s family alleged that his health deteriorated following the dose, Moradabad Chief Medical Officer MC Garg claimed that the ward boy’s death is not linked to vaccination.

Singh was given the vaccine shot on Saturday afternoon, and he died the next day after complaining of congestion and pain in the chest.

The postmortem report found cardiogenic or septicemic shock due to cardiopulmonary disease as the immediate cause of death. The postmortem report added that both his lungs showed pus pockets.
