UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday held a meeting with representatives of Bollywood fraternity over building a Film City in the state. 1000 acres of land has also been identified for the project. The conference was attended by industry heavyweights such as producer director Madhur Bhandarkar, Subhash Ghai, superstar Rajnikanth’s daughter Saundarya, Paresh Rawal, Priyadarshan, Raveena Tandon among others in the CM’s official residence in Lucknow.
The CM had,while addressing a review meeting, announced the setting up of the biggest and most beautiful film city of the country in Gautam Buddh Nagar, an official said. Yogi had asked officials to find a suitable land in or around Noida for setting up the film city.
The move to build a movie metropolis was welcomed by the industry. Kangana Ranaut and singer Anup Jalota have already lauded the UP CM for his announcement on film city.
