Union Budget 2021: FDI boost for insurance companies

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced proposals to amend the Insurance Act, 1938. The minister proposed to increase the permissible limit for Foreign Direct Investment for insurance companies to 74% from 49% along with allowing foreign ownership and control with safeguards.
