The United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs on Wednesday voted to remove marijuana from the list of the world's most dangerous drugs and reclassify it as 'less dangerous drug.'
The decision came after a close vote where China, Pakistan and Russia were among the nations voting against the motion, that was passed after a recommendation by WHO.
The decision does not automatic legalise recreational marijuana use but has a far-reaching impact on its medicinal use and research all over the world.
