With a storm approaching, conditions at the golf club in Tokyo turned challenging with a cloud cover but India's Aditi Ashok was still shining bright. The world number 200 went toe-to-toe with World No. 1 and LPGA champion Nelly Korda but narrowly missed out on a medal by finishing at the 4th spot.

In the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Aditi finished 41st but 5 years since then, she proved to be a completely different golfer in her 2nd appearance at the Games. The 23-year-old from Bengaluru maintained the 2nd spot for the first 3 days, which no other Indian golfer has ever achieved before. Despite not ending up on the podium, Aditi's Tokyo campaign was historic in every sense.
