Tokyo 2020 Olympics: Neeraj Chopra dedicates gold to Milkha Singh and PT Usha

Star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra after winning a historic gold medal in the Olympics on Saturday said ‘it feels unbelievable’. The 23-year-old also said it is a proud moment for him and the country.

Asked if he was surprised to win gold, he said he knew he could do better in the final as in the qualification round he ‘threw very well’

Speaking to the media, Neeraj said the national anthem during the medal ceremony meant the world to him.

Neeraj also dedicated his gold medal to Milkha Singh, PT Usha and other Indian athletes who came close to winning an Olympic medal.

He admitted feeling no pressure while playing in Tokyo Olympics and credited his earlier competitive exposures for the same.

Neeraj Chopra said ‘good training serves as the best motivation’ as he signed off to celebrate his victory.
