This simple sleep position can boost Oxygen level in Covid patients

As India gasps for Oxygen amid an alarming Covid surge, there is an acute shortage of medical oxygen. Distressing scenes of patients dying due to the lack of oxygen have become commonplace.

Doctors and experts recommend this simple sleep position to boost Oxygen levels in Covid patients. It's called Proning. Placing the patient on their stomach to improve ventilation.

Here's how to do it:

1. Lie on your stomach with legs stretched out

2. Put pillow under your chest and turn head to a side

3. Hands upwards on the side of your pillow, take deep breath

4. Doctors suggest that you do this for 30 minutes to 2 hours

This technique is widely used in treating respiratory diseases. Many doctors are suggesting it for Covid patients as is expected to reduce the demand for medical Oxygen and ventilators. Stay safe.
