Dr Spot, a dog-shaped mobile robot, is the latest frontline worker aiding in the fight against Covid-19.
The robotic doctor has been developed by MIT and Boston Dynamics, an American robotics design company.
A new study published this month shows that Covid-19 patients are actually responding quite positively to the robotic doctor. It adds that patients are quite accepting of medical interventions by robots, especially during the pandemic.
Dr Spot is able to assess vital signs in patients, place catheters, take nasal swabs and able to conduct telehealth interviews between patients and doctors.
