The cheese trail in India

Cheese is often synonymous with European food. But here’s a list of farms that produce homegrown cheese in India. ABC Farms in Pune produces over 70 varieties of cheese organically. They even host a cheese festival every winter. The Himalayan Cheese farm in Kashmir has adopted Dutch techniques to produce Gouda, Cheddar and other kinds of cheese. They produce Kalari. It’s a Kashmiri cheese that is fried before you consume it. Kodai is based in Batlagundu in Tamil Nadu. It produces flavoured cheese like chilli, basil and pepper.
