Women's Tennis Association & many tennis stars including Serena Williams are worried and concerned about the safety and whereabouts of Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai. Peng has reportedly gone missing and hasn't been seen in public since she accused former Chinese Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli of sexual assault in a post on her Weibo social media account.

The post by the former French Open and Wimbledon doubles champion was quickly removed as the Chinese authorities have avoided commenting on the allegations. Meanwhile, WTA has threatened to pull out all tournaments from China if the allegations prove to be correct.

Earlier this week, China's state-run media outlet CGTN claimed that an email was sent by the tennis star to WTA which now the tennis body claims is not legitimate.
