Temperatures rising quick in deepest parts of the ocean: study

Temperatures in the deepest parts of the oceans are rising faster than previously thought, according to a new research by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Between 2009 and 2019, at four different depths in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Uruguay, temperatures warmed by 0.02-0.04C. Given how large the ocean is, and how untouched these areas are by humans or fossil fuel, this is a significant amount of heat.

More research is needed to confirm the reason behind this warming trend
