The Telangana government has completely lifted the Covid-19 lockdown from June 19.

The Telangana cabinet said that the decision to lift the restrictions completely was taken in view of drop in coronavirus cases along with a significant decline in case positivity rate.

As per the state cabinet, Telangana was able to control the spread of infection faster than other states.

The cabinet has instructed officials from all the departments to lift all restrictions imposed during the coronavirus-induced lockdown in the state.

Additionally, the state government has directed the Department of Education to start preparations to reopen all categories of educational institutions from July 1.
