Apple has just unveiled iPadOS 17, the latest version of their operating system for iPads, at WWDC 2023. This new release focuses on personalisation and productivity improvements. The updates to iPadOS bring exciting enhancements to widget interactivity and customisation. Users can now enjoy additional features on the home screen widgets, such as the ability to check boxes and scroll without the need for excessive clicking. The lock screen has also received updates, allowing for more customisation options with widgets, images, and live activities. iPadOS 17 introduces improved PDF integration through the use of advanced machine learning models. This means users can now conveniently fill in fields and edit information within PDF documents. Additionally, PDFs are fully integrated within the notes feature, enabling collaborative work on PDFs across different devices. The developer beta version of iPadOS 17 is currently available, while the general public can look forward to a free software update in September or October, granting them access to the new features and enhancements.
