WWDC 2023: Apple introduces M2 Ultra Chip for Mac Studio and Mac Pro

Apple has introduced the M2 Ultra chip, a powerful addition to its Mac lineup. It combines two M2 Max chips through the UltraFusion architecture, boasting up to 2.5TB/s bandwidth. The new chip offers a 20% faster CPU and a 30% faster 76-core GPU compared to its predecessor. The Neural Engine provides a 40% boost, while memory and bandwidth capabilities have also improved. Real-world performance enhancements include 50% faster video processing and support for 22 streams of 8K ProRes video. The M2 Ultra chip will be available in the Mac Studio and updated Mac Pro models. The Mac Studio features updated connectivity options, such as HDMI support for 8K monitors and Wi-Fi 6E. The Mac Pro offers an aluminium chassis, PCIe expansion, and various customisation options for professional users. Pricing starts at ₹2,09,900 for the Mac Studio and ₹7,29,900 for the Mac Pro.
