WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform, has taken a significant stride forward by offering a beta version specifically designed for iPads.
The beta version, labelled "WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.19.1.71," introduces a new feature called the companion mode, aimed at enhancing the WhatsApp experience on iPads.
With companion mode, users can now install and utilise WhatsApp on their iPads without the need for the iPhone to be connected to the internet.
The companion mode enables users to stay connected across devices, ensuring that all messages sent and received on the iPad are synced with the user's phone, regardless of whether it is an iOS or Android device.
This means that users won't miss any important messages, even if their phone is turned off or not in their immediate proximity. Importantly, all messages and calls remain protected with end-to-end encryption
Once successfully linked, the user can use WhatsApp on their iPad independently, even without the iPhone being connected to the internet.
