American entrprenuer Palmer Luckey has created a virtual reality headset that is capable of killing players in real if they die in the game.

Titled 'NerveGear', Luckey's new headset recreates reality using a direct neural interface that can bombard a player's brain with potentially explosive microwaves.

Luckey, who is also known as the father of modern virtual reality, wrote in his blogpost wrote that the headset consists of three explosive charge modules that can instantly kill the players.

With this new headset, the entrepreneur aims to get into an area of videogame mechanics that have not been explored before.

"The idea of tying your real life to your virtual avatar has always fascinated me – you instantly raise the stakes to the maximum level and force people to fundamentally rethink how they interact with the virtual world and the players inside it." Luckey wrote in his blog spot
