Sony has expanded its premium television lineup in India with the launch of the 115-inch (292cm) BRAVIA 9II, the largest television the company has ever introduced. The new flagship completes Sony's True RGB BRAVIA portfolio, which now spans screen sizes from 55 inches to 115 inches, as the company looks to strengthen its position in India's increasingly competitive premium TV segment.
The launch comes at a time when competition in the high-end television market is intensifying. Samsung continues to push Neo QLED, LG dominates the OLED space, while brands like TCL and Hisense have rapidly expanded their Mini LED offerings. Sony, meanwhile, is betting on a different approach by focusing on picture accuracy and cinematic image quality through its proprietary True RGB technology.
Unlike conventional Mini LED televisions, which typically rely on blue LEDs paired with colour filters or quantum dots, Sony's True RGB technology independently controls dedicated red, green and blue LEDs. Combined with the company's RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro and BRAVIA XR processing, Sony says the technology delivers a wider colour gamut, better contrast and more accurate colour reproduction that stays closer to the filmmaker's original vision.
The headline attraction is undoubtedly the new 115-inch BRAVIA 9II, aimed at buyers looking to recreate a cinema-like experience at home.
Beyond its sheer size, Sony says the television uses its proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro to independently control RGB LEDs, enabling greater colour volume, improved contrast and smoother colour transitions. The TV also features X-Wide Angle Pro for more consistent colours across wider viewing angles, while Luminance Booster Pro enhances brightness without compromising colour accuracy.
Audio is handled by a 12-speaker Acoustic Multi-Audio+ system, comprising two subwoofers, eight full-range speakers and two tweeters. Running on Google TV, the BRAVIA 9II will also receive Gemini for Google TV through a future over-the-air software update, bringing AI-powered voice interactions to the television.
With the addition of the 115-inch model, Sony now offers its True RGB technology across two premium television series.
The BRAVIA 7II lineup is available in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch variants, while the BRAVIA 9II is offered in 75-inch, 85-inch and the new 115-inch option. According to Sony, the expanded portfolio is designed to deliver the same cinematic picture quality across multiple premium screen sizes, catering to buyers with different home entertainment requirements.
Sony has announced the following Best Buy prices for its latest True RGB BRAVIA televisions:
