Redmi India’s Twitter account has confirmed that its premium K-series is making a comeback in India.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro were launched in India in 2019. These were the most premium phones sold under Xiaomi’s budget-oriented Redmi sub-brand. However, there was no follow-up to this series in the country.

It remains to be seen how the resurrected Redmi K-series is positioned in India in 2022 since its sister brand Poco is already re-branding and selling the Redmi K40S as the Poco F4.

For the record, the current Redmi K50 is also largely similar to the Poco F4 with only a handful of changes. There is also a top-end K50 Gaming with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC, but that's exclusive to China.
