OpenAI CTO's Twitter account hacked to promote crypto scam

Crypto scammers hacked the Twitter account of OpenAI CTO, Mira Murati, and used it to post promotional tweets around a fake crypto site, potentially exposing over 126,000 followers on the social media platform to a financial risk.

While the tweets have since been removed, they were live for around an hour, reportedly generating 79,600 views and 83 retweets, with the posts directed users to a malicious website.
