Google is introducing a new policy for app developers on Play Store to provide more clarity and control over the data that users share with apps.

Developers of apps that allow account creation must provide an option for users to delete their accounts and data within the app and online.

The new rules will have a significant impact on Google Play's users, as they will now also be able to request apps to delete their account details and associated data, which will be available even after a user uninstalls the app.

The new policies will be implemented in 2024, and non-compliant apps may be removed from Google Play.
