Xiaomi is set to unveil its latest Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones in China today.
These models, successors to the Xiaomi 13 series, are expected to showcase the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Price Predictions and Benchmarks
Leaked by Ishan Agarwal, the Xiaomi 14 (8GB+256GB) is expected to be priced at RMB 4,299, and the Pro model (12GB+256GB) at RMB 5,399.
The standard model also surfaced on AnTuTu benchmarks, scoring an impressive 1,992,387, although slightly behind MediaTek Dimensity 9300's score. Nonetheless, Qualcomm touts a potential peak score of 2,139,281 for the chipset on AnTuTu.
Design Insights from Leaked Images
Hours before the launch, images and a live video leak revealed key design aspects:
- Xiaomi 14 shows a punch-hole display, ultra-narrow bezels, flat edges, a prominent triple camera setup backed by Leica, and a variety of colours including pink.
- The Pro variant flaunts a Leica Summilux lens and a green colour option with a glass back.
- Key features like the placement of buttons, USB Type-C port, and speaker vents were also observed.
Xiaomi 14 Specifications (Leaked)
The Xiaomi 14 series is speculated to include:
- Display: The standard model might feature a 6.36-inch C8 1.5K OLED display, while the Pro variant could sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED 2.5D screen, both supporting 120Hz refresh rates.
- Processor & Storage: Both models will house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with options up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
- Operating System: New HyperOS based on Android 14.
- Camera: Xiaomi 14 is expected with a 50MP triple camera setup, while the Pro could include a 50.3MP Sony IMX989 sensor.
- Battery: The standard model may pack a 4,600mAh battery with fast charging, whereas the Pro might offer a 4,860mAh battery with enhanced charging capabilities.
