The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event of July 2023 added a new chapter to the tech giant's chronicle by introducing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series, comprising the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
Samsung continued its tradition of marrying aesthetic design and cutting-edge technology at the Samsung Unpacked 2023 Event. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series stands as a testament to this commitment, offering a fusion of style, utility, and forward-thinking design.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is available in two versions-
1. 44mm model in Graphite and Silver
2. 40mm variant in Graphite and Gold.
Both variants are encased in Sapphire Crystal and feature a Super AMOLED screen - 1.5-inch (480x480) for the 44mm model, and 1.3-inch (432x432) for the 40mm variant.
Processor and Battery: The timepieces are powered by an Exynos W930 Dual-Core 1.4GHz processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. They promise an impressive battery life of up to 40 hours with the Always On Display off, and up to 30 hours with it on. Both models support Fast Charging through WPC-based wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic reintroduces the popular rotating bezel, which was absent in the previous Galaxy Watch 5 series. This merge of a loved classic design feature with high-end technology is bound to please the audience.
Variants: Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic variants include the 47mm Black and Silver models, and 43mm Black and Silver models, each featuring a Sapphire Crystal display.

Battery: The battery life parallels that of the Watch 6 - up to 40 hours with the Always On Display off, and up to 30 hours with it on.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic run on the Wear OS Powered by Samsung (Wear OS 4) with One UI 5 Watch.
They are embedded with the Samsung BioActive Sensor and other sensors like Temperature Sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro Sensor, and Geomagnetic Sensor.
The watches also support a range of connectivity options like LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2.4+5GHz, NFC, and GPS/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo. They boast a 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance rating and meet the MIL-STD-810H durability standard.
The pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 begins at £289, reaching up to £369 for the larger variant with LTE support. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic's price starts at £369 and can go up to £459 for models with added features.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic have opened for pre-order in select markets beginning July 26, with widespread availability slated to commence from August 11.
