In a recent turn of events, OnePlus India found itself at the centre of attention on social media platforms, as X (Twitter) buzzed with news of the company giving away the OnePlus 30W Wireless Charger for free on its Indian website.
Speculations started swirling around, with many questioning whether it was an error or a strategic clearance sale. However, OnePlus has now issued an official statement, confirming that it was indeed an error on their part.
According to OnePlus, the orders placed for the OnePlus 30W Wireless Charger will be cancelled due to a mistake in pricing.
The company's statement reads, "We regret to inform you that your order for the OnePlus 30W Wireless Charger will be cancelled due to an incorrect price set. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
This has left many customers disappointed, as they were eagerly awaiting their order to arrive.
However, OnePlus is not leaving its customers empty-handed.
As a gesture of goodwill and to compensate for the inconvenience caused, the company is offering a discount coupon worth ₹800 to customers whose orders were cancelled.
This coupon can be used to purchase accessories worth ₹1500 or more from OnePlus.
To ensure a seamless redemption process, OnePlus will directly credit the discount coupon to the affected customers' OnePlus accounts.
This means that customers can easily access the coupon and utilise it for future purchases on the OnePlus mobile app or website.
OnePlus has expressed its sincerest apologies to all customers who have been affected by the pricing error and subsequent order cancellations.
In its statement, the company stated, "If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team.
They will be more than happy to assist you." OnePlus remains committed to providing excellent customer support and addressing any queries or issues raised by its valued customers.
Interestingly, amidst the controversy surrounding the OnePlus 30W Wireless Charger, netizens have reported that they have received the OnePlus 9 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector and the Nord CE 2 Bumper cases, which they had ordered alongside the charger.
This has brought further confusion and raised questions about OnePlus' handling of the situation.
