OnePlus has commenced the distribution of the latest Android 14 update for its OnePlus 10T and 11R smartphones in India.
The over-the-air (OTA) update, expected to reach all devices in the coming days, brings an array of new features and enhancements to the smartphones, aiming to elevate user experience and functionality.
The Android 14 update for the OnePlus 10T, weighing in at 802MB, and the OnePlus 11R, with a file size of 6GB, introduces several notable improvements.
For the OnePlus 10T, the update introduces Fluid Cloud, File Dock for easy content transfer between apps and devices, Content Extraction for text and image recognition, Smart Cutout for subject separation in photos, and improved cross-device connectivity.
Additionally, system stability, app launch speeds, and animation smoothness receive performance optimisations.
The Aquamorphic Design is also upgraded with a more comfortable colour experience, new ringtones, and system notification sound revamps. User Care is enhanced with a carbon tracking Always-On Display (AOD) feature.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 11R update incorporates the November 2023 Android security patch to bolster system security.
It also improves system stability and performance, extends battery life in certain scenarios, and addresses specific issues such as stuttering home screen wallpaper, screen flicker, and unresponsiveness after reboot.
Notably, the Android 14 update will not be exclusive to Indian users, as OnePlus 10R and 11R users beyond India are expected to receive the update in the near future.
This global rollout ensures that users worldwide can benefit from the latest features and improvements, further solidifying OnePlus' commitment to delivering a premium user experience.
