A recent disclosure by Windows Report has brought to light extensive details about the ROG Phone 8 series.

This includes the full design and a comprehensive specification sheet. It’s important to note, however, that these are not confirmed by ASUS and should be regarded with a degree of skepticism.

The ROG Phone 8 lineup is said to offer a choice of three colours: Black, Light Grey, and Dark Grey. Each variant is expected to feature a unique dual-tone colour scheme.

Notably, the camera module has undergone a redesign, now sporting a square shape with a distinctively trimmed bottom right edge.

ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro Specifications  (leaked)

Both the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro are speculated to feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ SAMSUNG Flexible AMOLED display, complemented by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

These displays are expected to support HDR10, LTPO, and offer a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Powering these devices will likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

The standard ROG Phone 8 is rumored to come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Pro model, on the other hand, might offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a massive 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

While details about the ROG Phone 8 camera are scarce, the Pro variant is expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 32MP camera with 3X optical zoom, and a 32MP front camera.

Both models are anticipated to house a 5,500mAh battery, supporting Quick Charge 5.0 and PD Charging.

In terms of software, the series is slated to run on Android 14 with ROG UI, offering a seamless and user-friendly experience. Other notable features include NFC, an IP68 rating, WiFi 6/6E, and Bluetooth 5.3.

Pricing and Availability in India

While the launch date has been set for January 16th, the pricing of the ROG Phone 8 series in India remains under wraps. The tech community is eagerly awaiting official confirmation from ASUS to validate these leaked specifications and design details.
