OpenAI is offering paid access to its ChatGPT to developers and businesses.

OpenAI is hoping this will help accelerate revenue growth and pay for their expensive cloud-computing bills.

To ensure its users have a better experience, OpenAI has prioritised companies and users running public applications on its platform.

For example, Instacart is adding the chatbot to its shopping app, allowing customers to ask for suggestions such as healthy options for kids and instructions on how to make fish tacos.

Similarly, Shopify will use the chatbot for its consumer app, helping shoppers search for products and have ChatGPT offer recommendations.
