Battlegrounds Mobile India publisher Krafton announced in a blog post that it has banned 58,611 accounts in the six-day period from December 20 to December 26.
“We would also like to present to you the entire list of cheaters who have tried to ruin our Battlegrounds,” Krafton said. “Battlegrounds Mobile India will strive to implement strong sanctions with the ultimate goal of eradicating the use of illegal programs in order to provide you a pleasant gaming environment,” it added.
In the month of December alone, Krafton had banned more than 1,42,000 BGMI accounts between December 6 and December 12, and nearly 1 lakh BGMI accounts between December 13 and December 19.
Battlegrounds Mobile India players are usually banned for downloading the game from an unofficial source, or having illegal cheating programs downloaded on their phones.
Krafton recently announced that it will start implementing device bans rather than account bans for BGMI, which means that a phone used for cheating will never be able to play Battlegrounds Mobile India again, even if the user switches accounts.
