5G in India: How to check if your phone is 5G compatible?

Even if your smartphone is 5G-ready, you may not be able to use it right away because many brands are yet to push software updates for the same. 

So here’s a simple way to find out if your phone supports 5G or not. 

On Android, go to settings and tap on Connections. From there, find the Mobile Networks option and tap on Network Mode. Now you can select the 5G option. 

Do note that we are showing this on a Samsung phone, and this setting will vary slightly on other Android phones.

For iOS, go to settings and tap on Mobile Data Options, then select Voice & Data. When Apple enables 5G on iPhones in India, you will see a 5G option here which you’ll have to select.
